Board & Brew Just Landed on the Waterfront

San Diego has a long history with Board & Brew – the brand was born right here in Del Mar back in 1979, and it’s been part of the local sandwich scene ever since.

Now it’s put down roots in the Midway District, opening inside the new RaDD Building with indoor and outdoor seating, a full bar with 12 beers on draft, and those iconic sauces that have earned the brand a loyal following over the decades.

Location and Vibe

The new spot sits on the west side of the RaDD Building, with patio seating tucked into the district’s pedestrian alleyway and bartop seating overlooking the waterfront corridor.

It’s a laid-back, coastal setup – right at home in a neighborhood that’s quickly becoming one of the more interesting stretches of San Diego’s waterfront, steps from the USS Midway Museum and surrounded by a growing mix of dining, retail, and wellness tenants.

On the Menu

The menu runs the full Board & Brew lineup: made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, salads, and beverages, all built with premium ingredients and finished with the brand’s Secret Sauce.

A few standouts include the Turkado (turkey breast, jack cheese, and avocado on sourdough), the Italian Sub (uncured ham, turkey, Genoa salami, and house-made Italian dressing), and the Left Coast Pastrami for something hot off the grill. Fresh salads like the Cobb and Chopped round out the options if you’re keeping it lighter.
