Celebrate Local Heroes at Frontwave Arena’s First Responders Night
Join Frontwave Arena for First Responders Night, a special event honoring San Diego and Oceanside’s local heroes with an action-packed San Diego Clippers game against the Memphis Hustle. This family-friendly evening is all about celebrating the brave individuals who keep our communities safe.
Pre-Game Fun for the Whole Family
The first 2,500 fans will receive a pair of thundersticks to make some noise and cheer on the Clippers. Families can explore a firetruck, police car, and ambulance at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park Plaza starting at 4 PM. It’s the perfect chance to snap some fun photos and learn more about the lifesaving work of our first responders.
Halftime Showdown: Police vs. Fire
The highlight of the night comes during halftime when the Oceanside Police Department and Oceanside Fire Department face off in a friendly basketball game. These local heroes worked together earlier this year to save the beloved Oceanside Pier after a fire broke out.
Their quick response protected 93 percent of the historic pier, ensuring it remains a cherished landmark for the community.
Toy Drive for Kids in Need
Frontwave Arena is also teaming up with Children’s Paradise Preschool for a Toy Drive. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to help brighten the holidays for kids in need.
See you there!
This is more than just a basketball game—it’s a night to honor and celebrate the heroic efforts of our local first responders while enjoying exciting entertainment for the whole family.
The event is happening on December 29, pre-game activities start at 4 PM at Frontwave Arena, 3475 Hero Dr, Oceanside. 🎟️ Get yours tickets here.
