Zombie Jives and Phantom Melodies in Balboa Park
The Spreckels Organ Society is pulling out all the stops for a Halloween Spooktacular that’s sure to give you goosebumps—in the best way possible.

A Ghostly Tour Like No Other
Ever wondered what happens when great composers start decomposing? Now’s your chance to find out! We’re kicking things off with a kid-friendly “Meet the Great Composers Decomposing” tour.
And just when you think it can’t get any cooler, Thriller San Diego’s zombies will be joining the fun. It’s first-come, first-served, so don’t be late!
Phantom Melodies and Eerie Projections
As night falls, the real magic begins. San Diego’s own Civic Organist, Raul Prieto Ramírez, will unleash the full power of the world’s largest open-air musical instrument with some seriously spooky organ solos.
Then, hold onto your seats as soprano Caroline Nelms and tenor Bernardo Bermudez bring “Phantom of the Opera” to life.
As if the music wasn’t enchanting enough, SonderEyes is casting a spell on the entire pavilion with state-of-the-art projections.
These mesmerizing visuals will have you questioning reality, creating a feast for the eyes that perfectly complements the haunting melodies.

The Best Part? It’s Free!
This world-class Halloween Spooktacular at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion won’t cost you a single penny. It’s just one of the perks of living in America’s Finest City, courtesy of the Spreckels brothers and their generous gift to San Diego over a century ago.
See You There!
The Haunted Pavilion tour starts at 5:30 PM on October 26, with the main event kicking off at 6:30 PM. Head to 2125 Pan American Road in Balboa Park for a night of musical thrills and chills.
Don’t forget—while it’s free, donations are always appreciated to keep the music playing year-round.
