Kick off Super Bowl Sunday with The Kook Run, the ultimate 5K & 10K race and costume party along the stunning Coast Hwy 101 in Encinitas! Whether you’re racing for speed, rocking a wild costume, or just soaking in the oceanfront views, this SoCal tradition is the perfect way to start the day before the big game.
Run, Race & Dress to Impress
- The 10K—One of the fastest races on the West Coast, attracting elite runners and Southern California’s best, all competing for a $3,000 cash prize.
- The 5K—A fun run for all, featuring plenty of costumed racers bringing the Kook spirit to the course.
- Junior Kook Run—Happening Saturday, February 8, at the Ecke YMCA, this kid-friendly race features distances from 400 yards to one mile.
The famous Costume Contest will award top prizes for:
