San Diego Made Spring Market Heads Back to La Mesa Village
La Mesa Boulevard is about to get a whole lot more colorful. The 13th annual San Diego Made Spring Market is coming to La Mesa Village. It’s shaping up to be one of the best ways to spend a spring weekend in the greater San Diego area.

Over 120 Local Makers Under the Open Sky
This free, family-friendly event runs the length of La Mesa Boulevard starting at Spring Street. It’s bringing together more than 120 curated local makers and artisans for a full day of handmade shopping. We’re talking small-batch goods, one-of-a-kind finds, and the kind of stuff you just can’t get at the mall.
Floral stands, interactive art installations, and styled lounge areas round out the experience. This makes it as much about the vibe as the shopping.

Young Entrepreneurs Worth Watching
One of the highlights this year is the Young Entrepreneurs section. Here, more than 15 students from Helix Charter High School will be showcasing and selling their own handcrafted products.
It’s a genuinely cool addition to the market. Supporting the next generation of San Diego makers while picking up something unique is a pretty solid combination.

Free Photo Ops, Food Trucks, and a Scavenger Hunt
Beyond the shopping, there’s plenty to keep the whole crew busy. Free photo booths are set up throughout the event. Gourmet food trucks will be lined up alongside La Mesa Boulevard’s restaurants to keep everyone fueled throughout the day.
Keep an eye out for the scavenger hunt form at the information booths. If you complete it, you’ll walk away with a special gift. It’s a fun little extra, especially if you’re bringing kids along.

A Nonprofit With Deep Roots in San Diego’s Creative Community
San Diego Made is a nonprofit artist collective based out of the San Diego Made Factory in Logan Heights. Their mission is straightforward: create more opportunities for local artists and makers to grow, develop, and connect with the community.
This market is their biggest event of the year. With the City of La Mesa on board as a partner for the third year running, the whole thing is completely free to attend.
Select La Mesa Village businesses will also be offering specials throughout the day. So it’s worth exploring beyond the market footprint while you’re there.
