Societe Brewing Will Transform Into A German Beer Hall For Oktoberfest
In honor of the world’s largest beer festival, Societe Brewing’s Annual Oktoberfest is back at their Kearny Mesa brewery!
German Beer Hall for a Day!
On Saturday, September 24, the brewery will be transformed into a German beer hall, decked out from floor to ceiling! They’ll be offering authentic German street food paired with Societe’s signature Fest Bier, Societe’s beloved 4.6% Oktoberfest lager available from August through September, making it an Oktoberfest event not to be missed.
Don Your Dirndls!
Guests are encouraged to don their lederhosen and dirndls and try their hand at festive competitions.
At 1pm, carb lovers will compete in the Pretzel Eating Contest, the winner of which will be awarded the revered Golden Pretzel Award.
Societe will keep the fun going with the traditional Stein-Hold Competition at 2pm. The guest who can hold a traditional German Beer Stein out in front of their bodies the longest will be bestowed the apt title of ‘Strongest Person Ever.’
This event is free and open to the public, and all beer-loving folk are encouraged to attend.
Schnitzel & Steins!
German street food from Biersal Food Truck will be available in Societe’s Beer Garden, offering options like soft Munich Style Pretzels with whole grain mustard and house-made Bavarian cheese spread, Chicken Schnitzel, Bratwurst, Apple Strudel and more.
On the day of the fest, Beer Folk can fill up a Societe Ceramic Beer Stein that is theirs to take home for $10. After their first fill, Steins can be filled for just $5. To keep the party going, guests can secure a Societe Ceramic Stein filled with beer and a 4-pack to take home, all for $20.
