Take Your Pup to Dinner and a Movie at Omni La Costa This August

Summer doesn’t have to wind down quietly, especially not for the member of your household with four legs. Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad brings back Dog Days of Summer, two weeks of pup-friendly programming timed to National Dog Month. Most of it is reserved for guests, but two standout events open their doors to the rest of us.

Matching Pajamas and a Movie Under the Stars

Roll out a blanket on the Valley Promenade, pull on your comfiest pajamas, and settle in for a complimentary outdoor movie with your dog curled up beside you. The detail worth leaning into: dress to match your pup, because prizes go to the best-coordinated owner-and-dog duos.

Four Courses for You, Four for Your Dog

The bigger swing lands when the resort kicks off its fall Chef & Friends series with an al fresco dinner on Legends Lawn, and yes, your dog gets a menu of its own.

While you work through hamachi crudo, prime beef tenderloin, and a La Costa honey cake, your pup dines on poached yellowtail bites, beef and sweet potato medallions, and a banana peanut butter oat cake.

Thirty Percent Off If You Make a Weekend of it

If two events aren’t enough, the Dog Days package lets you stay the weekend with 30% off, waived pet fees, discounted parking, and a reduced resort charge.

Staying also unlocks the full calendar: weekend Sniff & Stroll pack walks, Zum-Paw fitness classes for you and your dog, a Pup Social with treats, and dog-friendly menus at the resort’s restaurants.

See you there!

Whether you go for matching pajamas, a four-course dinner, or a full weekend away, the last stretch of summer is a lot more fun with your dog along for the ride.
