Pacific Gate by Bosa’s Ground Floor Retail Space To Be Anchored By Puffer Malarkey Restaurant Animae

Bosa Development is pulling out all the stops to make its Super Prime Pacific Gate by Bosa residential tower the undisputed hot-spot of San Diego! They’ve recently announced that the building’s more than 15,000 square-foot ground floor retail space will be anchored by Puffer Malarkey Restaurants’ newest restaurant concept, Animae.

Animae will be a contemporary Asian American restaurant that blends cuisines from Japan to Southeast Asia with the cosmopolitan design and architecture of Hong Kong to create San Diego’s most progressive dining experience.

Spearheaded by Christopher Puffer, Brian Malarkey and co-chef and partner Shane McIntyre, the company is known for its successful concepts, including Herb & Wood, Herb & Eatery, Green Acre, and Farmer & The Seahorse.

Malarkey is an award-winning chef, cookbook author and television personality. He is a judge on Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games, makes regular appearances on the Today Show and Good Morning America, and was a Top Chef finalist and winning mentor on ABC’s The Taste, which he co-hosted alongside Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson and Ludo Lefebvre.

Malarkey’s other restaurants, under the management of Hakkasan Group – a worldwide entertainment, dining, nightlife, and hospitality company, include Searsucker (San Diego, Del Mar, Austin, Las Vegas) and Herringbone (La Jolla, Santa Monica, Las Vegas, Hawaii and Los Cabos).

Christopher Puffer brings his veteran expertise, larger than-life personality and charm to every restaurant he operates and has worked alongside Chef Malarkey for the last decade, together opening the original Searsucker and Herringbone restaurants followed by Green Acre, Farmer & The Seahorse, Herb & Eatery and the nationally acclaimed, Herb & Wood, which he also designed. He is known to bring a refined style for service, critical thinking approach to hospitality, and has a passion and dedication to educate and build the best teams in the hospitality industry.

The announcement by Pacific Gate by Bosa comes on top of two previous announcements that separates Pacific Gate by Bosa from many other residential options–the use of a yacht for its residents, and the installation of the incredible sculpture Pacific Soul by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa.

Now, with San Diego-based Puffer Malarkey Restaurants’ newest, original concept, the building is truly a must-see destination!

See you there!
