Get ready to dive into a sea of Halloween fun, San Diego! SeaWorld Spooktacular is back, and it’s bringing a boatload of family-friendly frights and delights.

We’re talking pirate adventures, mermaid meet-and-greets, and enough candy to make your dentist weep. Time to dust off those costumes and chart a course for SeaWorld!

Seaword Halloween

New Thrills for Landlubbers and Sea Dogs Alike

SeaWorld’s really outdone themselves this time. They’ve added a whole treasure chest of new attractions that’ll have us feeling like we’ve struck gold. Let’s dive into the booty, shall we?

Candy Quest

We’ll be joining the infamous Captain Sweet Tooth to uncover a secret word hidden in pirate-themed sets. Crack the code, and we’ll unlock a sweet treasure. It’s like a real-life pirate adventure, minus the risk of walking the plank!

Pirate Sea Shanty Band

The Scurvy Squad will be serenading us with sea shanties old and new. We’re already practicing our best “yo ho ho” to sing along.

Story Time With the Captain

For those of us who love a good yarn, there’s Story Time with the Captain. Two pirate skeletons, Captain Sweet Tooth and First Mate Peggy, will be spinning tales of their most recent plundering adventures.

Captain Sweet Tooth’s Pirate-y Cavalcade

We’ll be joining the infamous captain and his crew for a swashbuckling parade to kick off the festivities. With themed floats, vibrant pirate costumes, and a nostalgic musical nod to Pirates of Pinniped, it’s bound to be a spectacle.

Waterfront Pumpkin Patch

We’re talking a family-friendly pumpkin paradise with stunning views of Mission Bay. Festive decorations, photo ops, delicious food, and live music—including performances by that Pirate Sea Shanty Band. It’s the perfect spot to soak in all the fall vibes.

Returning Fan Favorites That Still Make a Splash

Don’t worry, SeaWorld hasn’t forgotten about the classics we’ve come to know and love. O.P. Otter’s Spooktacular Surprise is back, giving us a chance to join O.P. Otter and friends for a Halloween costume party that’s otter this world.

We’re also psyched for the return of the magical mermaid meet and greets. And for those of us who love a good scavenger hunt, the festive pumpkin hunt throughout the park is sure to keep us on our toes.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Spooktacular without the Trick-or-Treat Candy Trail. With 10 candy stations open after 4 PM on Fridays and from 12 PM to park close on Saturdays and Sundays, we’ll be swimming in sweet treats faster than you can say “sugar rush.”

Howl-O-Scream: When the Sun Sets, the Scares Begin

Now, for those of us who like our Halloween with an extra dose of fright, there’s Howl-O-Scream, and it’s bigger and badder than ever. Starting September 27, San Diego’s largest Halloween nighttime event will be serving up haunts, thrills, shows, coasters, speakeasies, food, and more.

We’ve heard through the grapevine that SeaWorld has cranked up every element of Howl-O-Scream this year. They’re promising an unmatched experience that’ll have us screaming for more.

Just remember, this killer event runs on select dates through November 2 and is designed for a mature audience. In other words, leave the little ones at home for this one.

Howl O Scream

Now, we know you’re itching to know when you can get in on all this spooky fun. SeaWorld Spooktacular runs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from September 6 to November 3.

That gives us plenty of weekends to don our eye patches, practice our best pirate accents, and set course for adventure. So, gather your crew and get ready to dive into a sea of Halloween fun.
