The Craft Creamery Brings Unique Ice Cream Experience Inspired By Craft Beer Bars

On the heels of a sleek new remodel, The Craft Creamery in Point Loma has embraced a distinctive “scoops on tap” business model, drawing inspiration from San Diego’s renowned craft beer bars known for showcasing the finest talents of the brewing industry through their tap handles.

Scoops On Tap inspired by craft beer bars

At The Craft Creamery, guests are treated to a rotating lineup of the nation’s top independent producers and charming mom-and-pop creameries, offering a selection that goes beyond what you’ll typically find at your local grocery store.

Owner Ryan Sisson shares his enthusiasm, stating, “The opportunity to champion small batch artisans from all over the U.S. and simultaneously offer San Diegans something totally unique and unprecedented in terms of a neighborhood ice cream shop is what sealed the deal for me.”

To complement this vision, Sisson expanded the 1,700 square foot space by incorporating the beloved local brewing institution, Moniker Coffee Co.

Sourced from 50 top creameries

The Craft Creamery carefully sources flavors from approximately 50 of the nation’s top independent creameries, including notable names such as Mutual Friend from San Diego (sister company to Dark House Coffee Roasters), Food & Wine’s #1 Best Ice Cream Spot in the U.S. Molly Moon Ice Cream, Fosselman’s (an old school, family-owned parlor established in 1919), Double Rainbow (awarded “Best Ice Cream in America” for their French Vanilla flavor), Petersen’s Ice Cream (Chicago’s beloved old-fashioned parlor since 1919), Graeter’s (an esteemed concept known for handcrafted French Pot ice cream with over 150 years of history), and Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream (a Wisconsin-based creamery founded by a husband and wife entrepreneurial duo).

Ice Cream Happy Hour!

Ice cream lovers visiting The Craft Creamery can indulge in various options, including leisurely scoops a la carte, sample scoop flights, flavorful affogatos, or conveniently pick up freshly pre-scooped pints to enjoy on-the-go.

Don’t miss the ice cream happy hour offered on weekdays from 3PM to 5PM, where children aged 12 and under receive a delightful 50% off.
