The Rancho Santa Fe Tennis Club Hosts “RSF Open”

The “Rancho Santa Fe Open” $60,000 Challenger will host some of the top 100 female tennis professionals in the world began Monday, October 11 at the Rancho Santa Fe Tennis Club for a USTA Pro Circuit Event. Bringing high levels of competition and athleticism to San Diego for the second time this year, following the San Diego Open at Barnes Tennis Center in Point Loma, the Rancho Santa Fe Open allows top tennis players to compete in a stunning location, amidst a very strong tennis community.

“It is very exciting to bring this level of professional women’s tennis into our community. With less than two months to plan this tournament, we couldn’t have done it without the support of our members, sponsors, staff, Board of Directors and broader community. We are expecting many high ranked players that are among the top 100 in the world,” said John Chanfreau, the General Manager of the RSFTC.

The participants in this event could be the next up and coming stars in the game. The event begins Monday, October 11 at 10am with the singles qualifying.  The singles main draw begins at 10am on Tuesday and runs through Sunday, October 17. Doubles play begins Wednesday through Saturday. This tournament will entertain the Rancho Santa Fe Community and is being supported through local community sponsors including The Vertical Collective and The Secret Garden at Rancho Santa Fe.

To bring the community together and kick off the tournament, Rancho Santa Fe Tennis Club will be hosting the RSF Open Tennis Fest on Friday, October 8th from 3:30PM-7PM. The community is invited to attend the event, which will include Tennis and Pickle Ball Clinic, Drills and Games (3:30-5:00), the kick-off program (5:00) and Exhibition Match (5:30).  Tickets for the Tennis Fest are $50 per person. Tickets for the RSF Open matches can be purchased through the RSFTC front desk, at 858-756-4459.

See you there, San Diego!
