Roman Wolves Set to Unveil This February in Little Italy

Prepare for a true taste of la dolce vita right in San Diego’s backyard courtesy of Roman Wolves—the vivid new coastal tribute to the Eternal City’s cin cin culture opening this February!

With a full liquor license in hand and an eye to creating a cocktail-forward concept, restaurateur Nino Cusimano, best known for his leadership at Rusticucina, the popular farm-to-neighborhood Sicilian-inspired eatery in Hillcrest, is spearheading the opening of the new location in Little Italy.

The native of Sicily is venturing beyond his heritage to showcase the dynamic spirit of Italy’s capital in a vibey bar and restaurant serving Roman cuisine!

Roman Wolves Little Italy

Roman Wolves Set to Bring the Taste of Rome to Little Italy

“Roman Wolves is more than a bar and restaurant; it’s a celebration of what Italians call the Eternal City,” said Nino Cusimano. “We’ve created our own take on Rome’s legacy and its significant historical, cultural, and culinary impact on the Italian food and nightlife scene.”

Stepping inside Roman Wolves, you’ll be transported to the streets of ancient Rome, with a contemporary twist. The interiors are designed to evoke the allure and romance of the city’s historic streets, creating an ambiance that sets it apart from other eateries in the neighborhood.

Whether enjoying a casual lunch, a romantic dinner, or a night out with friends, Roman Wolves promises a unique and immersive experience!

At the heart of the restaurant is the vibrant bar and lounge area, where the clinking of glasses encourages celebration and flirtation. The cocktail list, carefully curated to complement the flavors of the dishes, will showcase Italian aperitivi, premium spirits, and house-made mixers.

Additionally, a crowd-pleasing signature spritz collection will also appeal if you’re in search of refreshing and lower ABV selections. Approachable and thoughtfully selected wines and craft beers will round out the beverage offerings.

Where Italian Cuisine Meets Eternal City Vibes

Under the direction of the talented Chef Enrico de Santis, the kitchen has curated a menu that’s a homage to Roman gastronomy!

This culinary journey features beloved classics like carbonara, amatriciana, cacio e pepe, pollo saltimbocca, and pinsa alla mortazza (Roman-style folded pizzas), each meticulously prepared to stay true to their Roman origins.

Cusimano and de Santis also share a commitment to using locally sourced ingredients, ensuring that the time-honored regional dishes authentically capture the essence of Rome’s culinary traditions.
