Local Artists Honor Hubbell’s Legacy at Union Hall Gallery

Union Hall Gallery is hosting a mind-blowing showcase featuring the 2024 Visiting Artist Fellows in “The Power of Place: Inspirations from Ilan-Lael.”

With over 40 original works, including some absolute gems from the legendary James Hubbell himself, this downtown hotspot is about to become your new favorite creative escape.

The Power of Place: Inspirations from Ilan-Lael

Where Architecture Meets Artistic Magic

Imagine some of San Diego’s most talented artists spending time at Hubbell’s enchanted Ilan-Lael home and returning with pure creative gold.

We’re talking everything from dreamy plein air paintings that’ll transport you straight to wonderland, to photographs that capture moments you wish you could frame in your memory forever, and poetry that’ll make your heart skip a beat.

A Star-Studded Lineup of Local Legends

Robert Treat’s bringing nature-inspired pieces that’ll make you see the outdoors in a whole new light.

Linda Todd-Limon’s camera wizardry will have you questioning reality (in the best way possible). John Durant’s architectural eye turns buildings into pure poetry, while William Gullette’s plein air paintings are basically windows to paradise.

Mark Fehlman traded in his architect’s blueprints for a painter’s palette, and the results are absolutely stunning. Joe Garcia’s bringing Julian’s natural beauty downtown, and Karla Cordero’s poetry? It’s like someone bottled up pure emotion and sprinkled it through the gallery.

The Cherry on Top

Here’s the best part—every purchase helps these amazing artists keep creating AND supports the Ilan-Lael Foundation’s mission of spreading creativity, education, and nature appreciation throughout San Diego.

See You There!
