Fairmont Grand Del Mar is Kicking Off Summer With Live Music Every Weekend

The Grand Social Music Series is back at Fairmont Grand Del Mar, bringing live music to the resort’s outdoor lounge every Friday and Saturday night this summer.

Set across three levels with bocce courts, wood-fired dishes, handcrafted cocktails, and personal cabanas with private fire pits available to reserve, it’s one of the more atmospheric spots in San Diego to catch a live performance – and the May lineup sets the tone nicely.

Enjoy Live Music and Fun at Grand Social this Summer

Your May Weekend Soundtrack

80’s Yacht Rock with DJ Chris Cantore – Friday, May 22
The series kicks off with a night of silky soft rock classics and deep cuts from the golden age of Yacht Rock. DJ Chris Cantore curates a mix of lush harmonies, polished production, and melodies that are equal parts chill and danceable. Marina-ready attire encouraged.

Americana Night with Jesse Ray Smith – Saturday, May 23
The following night shifts to classic country anthems, bluegrass rhythms, and modern Americana – twangy guitars, soulful lyrics, and songs of love, freedom, and life under open skies. Denim, boots, plaid, and cowboy hats are welcome. Line dancing is expected.

Havana Nights with Fercho – Friday, May 29
One of San Diego’s top Latin Cuban groups brings the rhythms of Havana to the Grand Del Mar lawn. Fercho’s high-energy sound has a way of getting everyone on their feet – salsa dancing very much included.

The month closes out with the biggest hits of the ’90s spanning grunge, pop, and R&B. From flannel-clad rockers to boy band devotees, it’s a night built around reliving the soundtrack of a generation. Dress in your best ’90s gear accordingly.
