The Emilio Nares Foundation Hosts Virtual Auction October 2-10 Benefiting Children Battling Cancer

The Emilio Nares Foundation (ENF), a nonprofit that helps families navigate their child’s journey through cancer, is helping to raise awareness during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. ENF invites the community to participate in their 17th Annual Harvest for Hope fundraiser from October 2 to 10.

The Emilio Nares Foundation Hosts Virtual Auction October 2-10 Benefiting Children Battling Cancer

The fundraiser consists a virtual auction which includes items such as:

  • A private charter plane to Catalina Island with a 2 night stay at the Bellanca Hotel
  • A private Wine Tasting in Sonoma
  • Two airline tickets to a private house in Cabo with a pool and hot tub

Plus, everyone who registers for the virtual auction automatically gets entered into a raffle to win a TCL 65-inch LED TV! It’s free to enter and open to the public.

Ride with Emilio

Harvest for Hope gives people the opportunity to provide children with cancer the chance to survive and get life-saving media treatment they desperately need. This year’s goal is to raise $400,000 which will primarily support the Emilio Nares Foundation’s flagship program, Ride with Emilio, which has traveled over 1 million miles and safely transported 4,000 children in Southern California to and from life-saving doctor’s appointments.

“For the past 17 years the Emilio Nares Foundation has brought Harvest for Hope to our community. We are honored and grateful to all of you who have joined us in the past, and who will join us for the first time through our Virtual Auction, until we can meet again,” says
Diane Nares, Co-founder of the Emilio Nares Foundation. “Now, more than ever, we need your support so that we can continue our essential programs which are vital to so many children in need.”

The Emilio Nares Foundation recognizes that not all children with cancer are able to get to their treatments. Some children whose families don’t have cars are unable to get them to the proper care they need in order to have the fighting chance against cancer. This campaign
helps families navigate through their child’s journey with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, and ensures no child misses a medical treatment due to lack of transportation.

“The Emilio Nares Foundation provides over 3,500 rides annually to low-income children with cancer,” says Karen Terra, CEO and President of the Emilio Nares Foundation. “We
created Harvest for Hope to raise awareness for children battling cancer and help raise money for low income, underprivileged families whose children are battling cancer.”

See you there….and stay healthy, San Diego!
