Moe’s Celebrates 4 Years With a One-Night-Only Whole Roasted Pig Dinner
Mission Beach’s favorite neighborhood steakhouse is turning four, and they’re celebrating in a way that feels very on-brand – fire, flavor, and a little old-school flair.
For one night only, Moe’s is hosting a Whole Roasted Pig Pre-Fixe Experience, a multi-course culinary showcase built around a locally sourced whole roasted pig. It’s the kind of dinner that brings people together around the table and reminds us why we love a great steakhouse in the first place.

A Multi-Course Showcase by Chef Christopher Osborne
The evening’s celebratory menu is curated by Executive Chef Christopher Osborne, whose two decades of experience in Michelin-starred kitchens and top San Diego restaurants bring serious depth and technique to the plate.
You can expect a thoughtfully paced culinary journey, highlighting different cuts and preparations of the pig across multiple courses. The experience is designed as a refined yet rustic homage to classic steakhouse indulgence – honoring tradition while elevating it with modern execution.
At $75 per person, this pre-fixe dinner offers a chance to experience Chef Osborne’s approach in a format that feels special and intimate. Seating is limited, and reservations are strongly encouraged.

A Steakhouse With Mission Beach Roots
Part of what makes this anniversary feel meaningful is the space itself.
Moe’s stands in the historic former home of Saska’s Steak & Seafood, a Mission Beach institution that dates back to the early 1950s. After acquiring the iconic location in 2020, owner Eric Leitstein reimagined the restaurant as a tribute to his grandfather, Moe.
Inspired by his grandfather’s love of old-school Italian steakhouses in New York, Leitstein built Moe’s around timeless hospitality and classic steakhouse energy.
Designed by San Diego-based firm Tecture – the team behind Kettner Exchange and Nolita Hall – the 77-seat restaurant blends nostalgia with polish. Original red vinyl booths remain, now complemented by warm wood slats, statement lighting, and vintage details.
Near the bar, skeleton keys hang as a subtle nod to private booze lockers for regulars, adding a modern wink to classic exclusivity.
Since reopening, Moe’s has reestablished itself as a cornerstone of Mission Beach dining, where ribeyes, bourbon, and thoughtful service come together in a space that feels both familiar and refreshed.
