Parfait Party’s Kawaii Maid Café Returns to Tajima Ramen for Round Two
The collaboration that had people lining up around the block is back, and this time Parfait Party and Tajima Ramen are pulling out all the stops.
After their first takeover event became one of those “you had to be there” moments, the ice cream-themed gal maid café is returning to Tajima’s Mercury Street location for another dose of kawaii chaos mixed with seriously good Japanese food.

What Makes This Special
There’s something genuinely delightful about watching San Diego’s food scene embrace the unexpected. Parfait Party brings this infectious J-pop energy that transforms a regular ramen spot into something that feels like stepping into an anime.
The maids perform live throughout the event, the décor gets a full kawaii makeover, and suddenly we’re all part of this whimsical world that somehow works perfectly in our city.
The fact that this is their second collaboration proves the first one wasn’t just a novelty—people genuinely loved the experience and wanted more.
The Menu Worth Getting Excited About
This isn’t just themed service with regular food. The exclusive Tajima x Parfait Party menu includes items you can only get during this event.
We’re talking omurice with chicken fried rice and Japanese ketchup, curry rice garnished with cheese and carrots, and a crunchy dragon roll topped with avocado and house-made tempura crunch.
The tonkotsu ramen gets the full treatment with pork chashu, wood ear mushrooms, and all the traditional toppings, while drinks include strawberry unfiltered sake and the Parfait Prism Potion—a color-changing cocktail made with butterfly pea tea that’s as Instagram-worthy as it sounds.
The dessert situation is equally compelling, with a Neapolitan mochi flight and matcha panna cotta served in an exclusive jar that guests can take home as a souvenir.

The Experience Factor
What sets this apart from other pop-up events is the full commitment to creating an immersive experience. The themed décor, interactive café service, and live entertainment make this feel like a mini festival rather than just a restaurant collaboration.
It’s the kind of event that brings together anime fans, foodies, and curious San Diegans who just want to try something different.
See you there!
Some collaborations are worth experiencing twice. This is definitely one of them.
