Ocean Meets Art: San Diego’s Museums Make Waves This November

We’re diving into a sea of creativity this November as two of San Diego’s coolest spots team up for an unforgettable experience. Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) and Birch Aquarium are joining forces to bring us a double dose of oceanic wonder with PST ART exhibitions.

These shows are all about blending art and science in ways that’ll blow your mind and maybe even change how you see our big blue world.

Your Ticket to Ride the Cultural Current

Throughout November, members of either OMA or Birch Aquarium get free access to both venues.

Transformative Currents at OMA

At OMA, “Transformative Currents: Art and Action in the Pacific Ocean” is a deep dive into the Pacific’s past, present, and future.

21 international artists will be bringing their A-game, including videos, sculptures, drawings, and photos.

Embodied Pacific at Birch Aquarium

Meanwhile, Birch Aquarium’s “Embodied Pacific: Ocean Unseen” is pulling back the curtain on the mysteries lurking beneath the waves.

Eighteen artists are teaming up with Scripps Institution of Oceanography to show us the ocean like we’ve never seen it before. It’s where high-tech meets homegrown wisdom, and trust us, it’s mind-blowing.

PST ART: Where Creativity Meets the Deep Blue

These exhibitions are part of the larger PST ART initiative, showcasing how art and science can create waves of change. It’s a perfect blend of creative expression and scientific exploration, all centered around our precious oceans.

See You There!

This cultural tide is rolling in from November 1 to 30, 2024. Just flash your membership card at either spot, and you’re in!

See you there, San Diego!
