The Carlsbad Flower Fields Open For The Season March 1st!

The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming, and The Carlsbad Flower Fields will officially open for the season on March 1st and plan on staying open until May 8th.

All of that feels like a return to ‘normal’, and we love it!

A Spring tradition

For over sixty years, the hillside in Carlsbad transforms into one of the most spectacular and coordinated displays of natural color and beauty anywhere in the world.

This amazing display has become part of the area’s local heritage, and the nearly 50 acres Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers is one of nature’s official ways of announcing the arrival of Spring here in Southern California!

Events and attractions

While the flowers are reason enough alone to visit, there are a lot of other fun things happening at the Carlsbad Flower Fields to look into, including the tractor wagon ride, blueberry picking, a maze, live music, and more!

Reservations and safety measures

While a mask is no longer required, there are safety measures in place at the Flower Fields, and visiting requires a reserved ticket purchased in advance.

Full details of the safety measures in place can be found here.
