Jitters Coffee Pub Begins a Bold New Chapter—With Jason Mraz Behind the Bar

After nearly three decades as Oceanside’s go-to coffee hub, Jitters Coffee Pub is stepping into a vibrant new era—thanks to a creative partnership between Grammy-winning artist Jason Mraz and chef Felix Alcaide of One Kitchen Collaborative.

The result? A fresh renovation, a plant-forward menu, and an exciting new programming slate that honors Jitters’ rich legacy while propelling it into the future.

Jitters Coffee Pub

From Local Hangout to Cultural Hub

Jitters has always been more than just coffee. It’s been Oceanside’s third space—where musicians jammed in the corners, neighbors caught up over lattes, and ideas sparked over steaming mugs.

Mraz, a longtime regular and Oceanside local, has often popped in to test new songs and soak in the creative spirit. Now, he’s helping breathe new life into the place that shaped so many of his early memories.

A New Menu for a New Era

With renovations wrapping in late April, the new menu—crafted by Alcaide—is already turning heads. Think falafel burgers, seasonal toasts with locally grown avocados, and coffee classics alongside lighter, modern sips.

It’s rooted in community, with ingredients sourced from local farms (including Mraz’s own) and nods to global flavors.

Taco Tuesdays, DJs & a Summer Bash

The vibe is back and better than ever. Jitters has launched Taco Tuesdays and is rolling out a full calendar of events—live music, comedy nights, DJ sets, workshops, and more.

It all leads up to the Jitters Grand Opening “Summer Bash,” a community-wide celebration of food, music, and local love.

Still Jitters, Just Even More

As owner Gilley puts it: “This isn’t just a facelift—it’s a homecoming.” Jitters is staying true to its roots while evolving into something even more dynamic. The soul’s still here. The coffee’s still great. And now there’s even more reason to gather, hang out, and celebrate community—Oceanside style.

📅 Grand Opening: July 12, 2025
